you will have supplied your email address to me in a voluntary manner,
or possibly I have sent you this newsletter after you have shown faith
by buying one of our products.
It never ceases to amaze
me how many visitors to my site happily give a false address and then download
their free gifts without another thought about good manners or honesty.
These people have obviously
never been taught the meaning of integrity. Integrity is the fibre
that holds our society together. It works in the opposite direction
to corruption. From integrity comes trust and from trust comes stability
and peace.
You may have seen the reports
of how the Russian people have been swindled out of their entire collective
life savings by unscrupulous, corrupt people.
They have not only lost their
money, but what little faith they ever had in anything. Their unshakable
pride in their country is about all they do have left.
Huge sums of money have been
donated to the Russian people to help them in their transition from communism
to capitalism, only to have it embezzled away by corrupt officials and
thieving mafia.
It seems that the Russian
people have suffered so much corruption for so long, that it has become,
for many, an accepted way of life. Yet, understandably they blame the capitalists
for their demise.
Unfortunately this is leading
to a dangerous state of affairs where the majority of citizens must be
utterly sick and tired of enduring low wages and poor living conditions
which have gradually become worse since glasnost.
The situation is ripe for
yet another revolution and a return to the dark ages of mass slaughter
and suffering. The likely outcome would be a return to communism with all
its cruel realities cloaked in apparent benefits to the proletariat.
The very same human qualities
that cause us all to seek wealth and success acts as a destructive force
when used together with greed and corruption.
The education system of every
country must place greater emphasis on teaching the meaning of honesty
and integrity, not only for business dealings but for everyday life. In
my opinion the very survival of mankind depends on it.
A new generation of citizens
could be relied upon to do an honest days work in return for the privilege
of being a member of a safe and stable society. Let's pray that this will
be the future for Russia and for all other countries!
Being "uncool" and giving
your real email address in return for a gift would be a start ..
